Big names will line up for the US XC Open race in Temecula, California, this weekend including 2024 Olympians Christopher Blevins, Riley Amos, and Savilia Blunk.
The UCI C1 race is organized by US Pro Cup and is the first round of the USA Cycling XC national series. The early season race typically attracts strong fields, with racers looking to wearn UCI points and last year gunning for Olympic selection.
Blevins won last year before going on to win the first World Cup of the season is Brazil and is a confirmed starter according to the race organizer. Also signed up for the elite men’s field are Amos along with Life Time Grand Prix racer Cole Paton. Other men to watch include recent Trinity Racing addition Dan English, Dane Grey of Segment 28, Brayden Johnson of Allied Cycle Works, and Bear National Team’s Jack Spranger.
Savilia Blunk has also been confirmed to start the California race. She’ll be joined in the elite women’s race by Trek’s Gwendalyn Gibson, Trinity’s Lauren Aggeler, and American National Champion Kelsey Urban.
