As a journalist with 303 I totally resonated with this, thanks for writing! I don’t cover events anymore, just occasional adventures. I was the Tour of the Gila, that was very interesting and had little atmosphere considering its America’s only or one of a couple UCI stage races.

Yup, that's the number from Life Time. I'm very interested in that and might write about it. Was chatting with Amanda Nauman and she said the early organizers did a lot to build community relations that lead to less pushback of the present day circus
